Businessman and Philanthropist Satar Dada Receives Honorary Doctorate

Renowned businessman and philanthropist, Mr Abdul Satar Dada, has received an Honorary Doctor of Letters, Honoris Causa (DLitt), from the University of Botswana in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the humanities, social sciences and the business world. The prestigious award was conferred during the University’s 42nd Graduation Ceremony on the 17th of October 2024.

Emergency Stakeholders Unite to Celebrate Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation & First Aid Day

The University of Botswana (UB) joined forces with emergency response stakeholders to commemorate Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and First Aid Day at Molapo Crossing Mall on the 19th of October 2024. The purpose of the event was to raise public awareness about the importance of first aid in saving lives and enhancing community safety.

University of Botswana Hosts 3rd Edition of Taekwondo Open Championship

The University of Botswana (UB) recently held its 3rd edition of the Taekwondo Open Championship at the UB Campus Indoor Sports Centre. The championship which attracted participants from Botswana, Lesotho and Mozambique to showcase the martial arts skills, was launched by the Minister of Youth, Gender, Sports and Culture, Mr Tumiso Rakgare.
