Tourism Students Handover Upgraded MmaSechele Heritage Site to Manyana Community

Final-year students from the Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management (DTHM) officially handed over a revamped MmaSechele Heritage Site to the Manyana Village Development Trust in a gesture of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) aimed at safeguarding and preserving cultural heritage. The ceremony took place at the historic Manyana Rock Paintings site on the 25th of April 2025.

University of Botswana (UB) UniPod Director, Professor Richie Moalosi, has urged students to embrace entrepreneurship and position themselves as future job creators. Professor Moalosi said doing so was key to tackling the country’s high youth unemployment rate and fostering long-term economic development.

Environmental Health Students Donate P8 800 to Botswana Diabetic Society Children’s Camp

Second year University of Botswana (UB) Environmental Health Students have donated P8 800 to the Diabetes Association of Botswana to support the Children’s camp. The funds were handed over at the UB’s  14th “Mini” Health Fair held on the 25thof April 2025, under theme “My Mind, Body and Environment, the triad of health”.
