Brave UB Hawks Bow Out of Orange FA Cup, Eye Next Season’s Challenge

Gaborone – UB Hawks put up a spirited fight in the Orange FA Cup Season 6 but their journey ended in a 3-1 penalty shootout loss to Taung Young Strikers at the Tlokweng Village Development Committee (VDC) Grounds on the 9th of February 2025. The match had ended in a one-all draw after regulation and extra time, forcing penalties where Young Strikers held their nerve to advance.

UB Hawks soared to victory against Taung Young Strikers with a commanding 3-1 win in an electrifying game held at the Gaborone United Stadium on the 31st of January 2025. The game kicked off at 1800hrs with high intensity as Taung Young Strikers looked to gain an early advantage. However, UB Hawks’ resilience and tactical prowess ultimately proved too much for the visitors.

Twenty-Seven Students Graduate from Basic Lifesaving Course at University of Botswana

The University of Botswana (UB) Department of Sports, Culture and Recreation recently hosted a Basic Lifesaving Course graduation ceremony at the UB Swimming Pool. Twenty-seven (27) participants successfully completed the course, gaining essential skills in swimming, water rescue, emergency evacuation, first aid, aqua-survival, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and fitness.

Three UB Students to Represent Botswana in Prestigious US Leadership Programme

Three exceptional students from the University of Botswana (UB) have been selected to participate in the highly regarded Study of the United States Institute (SUSI) for Global Student Leaders programme. The students - Boago Mosweu, a final-year law student; Mandipa Amantle Hlabano, a fourth-year law student and Louis Bahlomi, a third-year arts and humanities student - have travelled to the United States for this prestigious five-week programme.
