A Delegation from Kenya’s Jomo Kenyata University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) under the AFRICA-ai-JAPAN Project Office (Phase 2) this week visited the University of Botswana in search for opportunities for research collaborations.

Officials from the University of Cincinnati in the United States of America have been visiting the University of Botswana this week to explore possible areas of collaboration. 

Brazil Ambassador, His Excellency Mr Flavio Lima Rocha, paid Vice Chancellor, Professor David Norris, a courtesy call on January 24, 2023 to explore possible areas of collaborations on research, students and staff exchange.

The Chancellor, Ms Tebelelo Mazile Seretse, has advised the four incoming members of the university’s Executive Management Team (EMT) to help foster cost saving, resource efficiency and income generating measures to lessen the institution’s dependency on government.

The University of Botswana has embarked on process of accrediting its laboratories. In preparation for this, the University is conducting a five-day workshop from January 23-27, 2023, on the requirements, implementation and internal auditing of ISO/IEC 17025 processes.
