The University of Botswana's (UB) Faculty of Education is preparing to welcome 17 teacher students and three (3) faculty members from the University of Cincinnati's College of Education this May. The partnership aims to provide hands-on experience in the Botswana education system, including immersive visits to government and private secondary schools.

The University of Botswana Innovation Centre recently organized a mini exhibition to highlight its progress since its launch in May 2023. The event, held on February 16, 2024, brought together innovators from across the country, as well as industry professionals. The primary focus was to showcase locally produced innovative products and services, with the overarching goal of fostering incubation and entrepreneurship.

The University of Botswana Innovation Centre received a generous donation of twenty (20) laptops from the First National Bank Botswana (FNB). In his welcoming remarks, Professor David Norris, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Botswana, extended heartfelt appreciation to the FNB for their valuable contribution. He emphasized the significance of this assistance in aiding the UB Innovation Centre to fulfil its mission in research and innovation.

Vice Chancellor of the University of Botswana (UB), Professor David Norris, has underscored the need for African universities to collaborate in advancing the ideals of Africa Agenda 2063. Professor Norris was speaking during a special television programme on Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State (BCOS) on the 21st February 2024 ahead of the International Study Abroad Fair (ISAF) scheduled for the 23rd February 2024 in Ibadan, Nigeria.
