17 Teacher Students from University of Cincinnati to Shadow University of Botswana Faculty of Education

The University of Botswana's (UB) Faculty of Education is preparing to welcome 17 teacher students and three (3) faculty members from the University of Cincinnati's College of Education this May. The partnership aims to provide hands-on experience in the Botswana education system, including immersive visits to government and private secondary schools.

UB Team Visits Manyana Village for Stakeholder Engagement

The Executive Governor of Oyo State, Governor Oluwaseyi Makinde, has expressed keen interest in fostering collaboration between the University of Botswana (UB) and universities in Oyo State. Governor Makinde expressed this during a courtesy visit by UB Vice Chancellor, Professor David Norris, in Ibadan, Nigeria on the 22nd February 2024. He underscored Ibadan's historical significance as the intellectual hub of Africa, given the renowned University of Ibadan, which has educated numerous African leaders.

University of Botswana Innovation Centre Exhibition Attracts Innovators and Industry Professionals

The University of Botswana Innovation Centre recently organized a mini exhibition to highlight its progress since its launch in May 2023. Vice Chancellor of the University of Botswana (UB), Professor David Norris, has underscored the need for African universities to collaborate in advancing the ideals of Africa Agenda 2063. Professor Norris was speaking during a special television programme on Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State (BCOS) on the 21st February 2024 ahead of the International Study Abroad Fair (ISAF) scheduled for the 23rd February 2024 in Ibadan, Nigeria.
