The Bachelor of Digital Media (BDM) programme will equip learners with skills and competences to respond to the new media principles that can be updated and re-defined. The key streams in BDM include digital video/film, computer animation and communication design. The programme will expose learners to fundamental skills in developing media artworks with emphasis on digital communication techniques, while also introducing aesthetic concepts such as narrative, interaction and simulation.
The Bachelor of Public Relations and Integrated Communication (BPC) has public relations and advertising, and integrated communication as its key pathways. The main targets will be successful BGCSE graduates who would be interested in developing skills, competencies and knowledge in public relations, advertising and integrated communication in order to:
The Department of Media Studies offers a graduate programme leading to the award of the Master of Arts (MA) Media & Communication (MMC) in one of the following areas of specialization:
The minimum entrance requirement shall be a Bachelor’s in Media Studies or related discipline from UB or any other recognized university with at least a second class, second division or equivalent (3.0 GPA, on a 5-point scale) degree.

The Department of Media Studies wishes to appoint staff at any of the ranks specified below.
The successful candidate would be responsible for teaching courses on two Undergraduate degrees in Media Studies from a selection of the following: mass communication theory, media management, gender representation, media history, media monitoring, media sociology, media and development, media law, media ethics, cinema, communication research methods, and dissertation supervision.
