RADIO STATION MANAGER (Contract Position)

The Department of Media Studies invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the post of Radio Station Manager

Duties: The candidate will be required to (i) coordinate and manage administrative and operational activities, (ii) and offer the necessary support to deliver the station’s key programming and operational processes to ensure compliance and adherence to the station’s overall mission and vision, as well as the strategy of the University of Botswana.

Requirements: (i) a Bachelor’s degree in Media Studies, Broadcasting, Sound Engineering or a related field (ii) at least four years experience serving in radio broadcasting and/or newsroom (iii) Versatility and hands on experience in broadcasting. The following will be added advantages;  (i) experience dealing with media students, e.g. training; (ii) a post graduate diploma in media or business management field, as well as the ability to handle broadcasting in a digital platform, and broadcast news editing will be added advantages.

Remuneration: the University offers a competitive salary and benefits commensurate with experience and qualifications.
