Four Industrial Design & Technology Students Win WIP Day Botswana Innovation Competition

Four University of Botswana (UB) Industrial Design and Technology students in the Faculty of Engineering and Technology proved to be a cut above the rest after they emerged victorious at the World Intellectual Property (IP) Day Botswana Innovation Competitions held at Ba Isago University on the 26th of April 2024.

Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) Hosts World Theatre Day 2024

The University of Botswana (UB) Department of Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) hosted its annual World Theatre Day on recently to showcase its visual arts and performance. The event featured various performances by VAPA students and UB alumni, including musicals, monologues, play readings, poetry and storytelling. Further, the event featured reading of the World Theatre Day message by Jon Fosse in English, French, Sekgalagadi, and Setswana.

UB Conducts Executive Management Media Training with Prof JJ Tabane

The University of Botswana (UB) this week organised a media training initiative for its management team. The exercise was part of the UB’s Communications Strategy aimed at fostering and strengthening the institution’s media relations. UB Academics Launch Groundbreaking Book on Social Protection

Two University of Botswana (UB) academics, Professors Dolly Ntseane and Kholisani Solo have launched a groundbreaking book on social protection. Professor Kholisani Solo is the Coordinator of the UB Legal Clinic under the Department of Law while Professor Dolly Ntseane Affiliate Researcher from the Department of Social Work. The book titled “Social Protection in Botswana: Socio-Economic and Legal Perspectives” marks a significant milestone in the discourse on social welfare and policy development in Botswana.
