Demonstrating strategic foresight in reshaping Botswana’s innovation and entrepreneurship landscape, the University of Botswana (UB) has taken initiative by collaborating with Massachusetts Institute of Technology(MIT) in launching the MIT Sandbox Pilot Programme, positioning itself as a central driver of innovation and entrepreneurial transformation.

The University of Botswana, Faculty of Business, hosted a three-day 6th International Conference on Business Growth and Innovation, themed “Navigating Dynamic Business Landscapes through Developing Sustainable and Innovative Strategies.” This significant event was taking place at the Library Auditorium from the 23rd to the 25th of June 2025, bringing together leading scholars, industry experts, and practitioners to explore and share insights on fostering sustainable growth and innovation in today’s rapidly evolving business environment.

The University Innovation Pod (UniPod), in collaboration with BSC Koolitus AS (BCS Digital Skills Academy) and the Local Enterprise Authority (LEA), is pleased to announce the successful completion of the SMME Digitalisation Program, a significant milestone in advancing digital skills development for entrepreneurs in Botswana.
