A delegation led by the Deputy Dean, Faculty of Humanities, Dr Peter Sebina paid a courtesy call on the National Manpower Development Secretariat (NMDS) of the Ministry of Development Planning in Maseru, Lesotho on February 24, 2018. The purpose was to promote UB programmes and encourage the authority to sponsor more students to study at the University of Botswana.

A European Union education expert is assisting the University of Botswana to revise and redevelop its degree programmes to be in line with 21st Century trends.
Professor Roy du Pré, the European Union University Teacher Development Advisor at UB, has been working with the Faculty of Education since May 2017 to help turn around its degree programmes so that they are “Outcome-Based” and comply with the National Credit and Qualification Framework of the Botswana Qualification Authority (BQA).
The Confucius Institute in the University of Botswana is making great strides in advancing the Chinese language and culture in Botswana. This emerged at a CIUB Advisory Board meeting at UB on February 8, 2018. The meeting was attended by members from UB and Shanghai Normal University.
