Regulation 00.0 and General Regulations for Master’s

degrees 40.1 and 41.0, the following Special

Reg-ulations shall apply to the LLM degree

programme.

1.0 Entrance Qualifications

1.1 The normal minimum entrance requirement shall be a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree of this University with at least a second-class second division, or a comparable or equivalent qualification from any other recognized University or equivalent institution.

Entry Requirements

1. The normal requirement for admission to the Bachelor of Laws degree programme shall be the Botswana General Certificate of Secondary Education (BGCSE) obtained at one sitting with a minimum of five credits, one of which shall be in English language, or an equivalent qualification.

2. An applicant in possession of a Diploma in Law from this University, obtained with a minimum classification of a credit, or an equivalent qualification shall also be eligible for admission to the LLB programme.

Law

The Department of Law, located in the Faculty of Social Sciences, is responsible for the teaching of courses in the subject Law.

The Department offers the following programmes: the Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and the Master of Laws (LLM).  The Department also offers special law courses to students registered under selected programmes in other departments and faculties in the University.
