LECTURER IN LAW-1 YEAR CONTRACT

FACULTY OF SOCIAL SCIENCES

DEPARTMENT OF LAW

VACANCY NO: FSS/ L 2/ 2020, LECTURER IN LAW - 1 YEAR CONTRACT

Duties: The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate level courses. The candidate should be able to teach at least two of the following: Business Law; Tax law, Legal Writing; Constitutional Law; Administrative Law; and Gender and the Law. The Department reserves the right to allocate other courses in addition to those outlined above.

Requirements: Candidates should have: (i) at least a relevant doctorate in Law; (ii) show evidence of engagement in research. University teaching experience or equivalent, evidence of governance and social engagement will be an added advantage.

N.B.   A relevant LLM Degree may be considered provided that the applicant has a Bachelors’ Degree in Law of at least a second class, first division (2.1) pass/ GPA of at least 3.6 or equivalent.

Remuneration: The University offers a competitive salary and benefits commensurate with experience and qualifications.
