The Department of Psychology is looking for two innovative psychologists who can assist in developing psychology as an academic and professional discipline in Botswana.
The Department of Psychology was only established in 2004 and is, therefore, looking for an innovative psychologist who can assist in developing psychology as an academic and professional discipline in Botswana.
Subject to provisions of General Academic Regulations 20.2, a credit in Mathematics shall be required for applicants intending to enroll for Psychology as a Combined Major.
2.1 Psychology as a Combined Major shall consist of an eight semester programme and with core and optional psychology courses.
2.2 Subject to special regulations of programmes in other departments, students may pursue a combined major in psychology and any other major of their choice.
Subject to provisions of General Academic Regulations 20.2, a credit in Mathematics shall be required for applicants intending to enrol for a B.Psych. degree.
2.1 The B.Psych. degree shall consist of an eight semester programme.
Psychology is the science that studies behaviour and mental processes. Students who study psychology at the undergraduate level typically survey the discipline broadly, taking core psychology courses covering topics such as development, learning, cognition, sensation and perception, biological bases of behaviour, personality, social psychology, abnormal psychology, research methods in psychology, and psychological assessment.
