Vice Chancellor, Professor David Norris, says he is excited that the University of Botswana continues to play a pivotal role in the fight against COVID-19 in the country.

The 2020/2021 University of Botswana Academic Calendar has been revised in order to offset the disruptions caused by Greater Gaborone lockdown following an upsurge of new COVID-19 cases recently.

This means that registration for Semester 1 for all students begins on August 5, 2020 while the supplementary assessment period has been scheduled for August 17-21, 2020.

The Government of Botswana has placed Greater Gaborone Zone under lockdown to avert the risks posed by the upsurge of new COVID-19 cases lately.

University of Botswana student leaders from various cadres received awards on July 16, 2020 in recognition of their active participation in student activities.

The University of Botswana sports awards continue to grow in leaps and bounds. From a mere eight, the awards have more than doubled to 19 categories in just 10 years.

Clifton Meshack is this year’s University of Botswana Sports Star of the Year. Meshack was bestowed the title at the UB Sports and Recreation Awards held at the Campus Indoor Sports Centre on June 16, 2020.
