Faculty of Medicine launches research study on HIV
The University of Botswana Faculty of Medicine has launched an HIV Testing Study targeting men in Botswana to uncover factors influencing their foot-dragging towards testing for HIV.
Four graduates of the Faculty of Health Sciences have been awarded BOPMAS and BOMAID Academic Excellence Prizes. The awards were given to graduating students for demonstrating the highest level of academic achievement in their final year.
The awardees were celebrated at the University of Botswana's 36th Graduation Ceremony at the UB Stadium on October 13, 2018 where a total 2 273 students graduated with different qualifications.
The University of Botswana through the HIV/AIDS Coordination Office and in collaboration with the Gaborone District AIDS Coordination Office as well as the Botswana Christian AIDS Intervention Programme, has honoured Professor Musa W. Dube for her relentless activism, teaching, researching and coaching on issues of faith and HIV/AIDS. Professor Dube was honoured during the commemoration of the Month of Prayer at the University of Botswana Conference Center.
