Information Technology

The Department of Information Technology (IT) provides Information and Communications Technology (ICT) services to support teaching, learning, research and administrative business     activities of the University. The IT Department serves both staff and students of the University.

Goals

The Information Technology Department provides service to the University based upon these three goals:

Financial Services Department realizes and understands its purpose being to provide quality business, financial and accounting services to the University to enable it to achieve its ambition of being a leading centre of excellence in Africa and the world; a breeding ground for intellectual and human resource capacity of the nation and the international community.

Human Resources

The Human Resources Department (HR) is one of the Departments under the office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Finance and Administration. Among its many functions the Department is responsible for providing professional advice on the labour laws, it ensures that the General Conditions are continuously aligned to the decisions of Council and the laws of Botswana, ensures that the University is staffed with appropriately qualified and experienced personnel in the areas of teaching, research, academic related and other support services.

Campus Services

The Campus Services is a department within Finance and Administration division with a mission to support the University Vision by creating a conducive learning and teaching environment through the provision of professional, effective and efficient services to the University community.

For ease of management, the Department is split into four sections

Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Finance and Administration)

The Deputy Vice Chancellor, Finance and Administration (DVC F&A) provides leadership in the finance and administration areas and provide strategic and policy advice to the Vice Chancellor on financial and administrative matters. S/he is responsible for policy formulation and implementation of the financial, administration, information technology, human resources, security, domestic services, general services and the maintenance of physical resource functions of the University.
