The Department of Political and Administrative Studies (PAS) is a Departments of the Faculty of Social Sciences mandated to offer a Bachelor of Arts (Social Sciences) in either public administration or political science and combined major or minor programs with other social science disciplines.

Through its Southern African Development Community (SADC) Centre of Specialisation in Public Administration and Management (CESPAM), it offers the Master of Public Administration (MPA), as well as the Short-Term Executive Programs (STEPs).
