I have been a member of Mathematics Department in the Faculty of Science for more than 10 years. During that time I have taught several courses in the areas such as Complex analysis, real analysis, differential equations and calculus. I have also coordinated first year mathematics courses.
My teaching areas include Complex analysis, real analysis, differential equations and calculus.
My research areas include disease modelling( human diseases and Epidemiology) and Mathematics of Finance.

I am a structural geologist. My research interests include integrating geophysical datasets, geomorphology, and structural geology to understand extensional and accretionary tectonic environments. Recently, I developed an interest in using the combination of the aforementioned datasets to understand neotectonic seismic hazards in southern Africa.

Dr Gwen N. Lesetedi is a staunch gender activist and is currently a senior lecturer in the Sociology Department, University of Botswana. She holds a PhD (Sociology) from University of Cape Town, South Africa; MA (Demography) from Georgetown University, Washington DC., USA; Post-graduate Diploma, Regional Institute of Population Studies, University of Ghana, Accra, Ghana; and BA (Sociology and Public Administration) University of Zambia, Lusaka, Zambia. She started her working career as a demographer in the then Central Statistics Office now Statistics Botswana where she worked for ten years and left to join the University of Botswana in 1994. She has also been a part time research associate with Women and the Law in Southern Africa (WLSA) since 1994 and conducted studies most of which have culminated in co-authored publications on the Family, Domestic Violence and HIV and AIDS. She has conducted extensive research and published on gender and development. Her most recent publication is entitled, “A Theoretical Perspective on Women and Poverty in Botswana” published in the Journal of International Women's Studies in 2018.

Senior Lecturer
Location: Block 247 Room 237William O. Lesitaokana is a Senior Lecturer and Head of Department of Media Studies in the University of Botswana where he also teaches undergraduate courses in Digital Media, Media Production, and Media Technology. His research focus is on media audiences, media technology and society, cultural sociology and the role of the media in Botswana. He has written extensively in the area of digital media and mobile telephony and society, and has published refereed articles in local and international journals. He co-edited 2 books: one entitled “New Media and Mediatisation of Religion: An African Perspective” published by Cambridge Scholars Publishing, and the other “Re-imagining Communication in Africa and the Caribbean: Global South Issues in Media, Culture and Technology” published by Palgrave Macmillan.
He has published in top international journals such as New Media and Society (Sage), International Journal of Cultural Studies (Sage), Journal of Radio and Audio Media (Routledge), Advanced Journal of Journalism and Media Studies (Intellect) and Journal of African Media Studies (Intellect).
