Dr.Onkabetse Daman is a former chairman of the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science in the University of Botswana. He has served in many administrative committees in the department and faculty. He was instrumental in reviewing and developing academic programmes throughout the faculty. In the department he taught undergraduate and graduate courses covering a wide range of fields of Mathematics. His research interests are in the areas of Stochastic Processes and Analysis. His professional career outside the University of Botswana includes serving as an external examiner/reviewer to different universities. He is currently serving as a member of Editorial board for Bulletin of Pure and Applied Mathematics. He is active in a variety of civic and cultural organisation including Adventist Men Organisation, Botswana Conservation Societies and Farming societies

Prof. Demissie is an Associate Professor of Physical and Computational Chemistry, with a teaching history at Dilla University, Hawassa University, Medco Biomedical College, Addis Ababa University, and Adama Science and Technology University, all in Ethiopia, before joining the University of Botswana. He has also trained university lecturers in the use of computational chemistry tools for problem-solving.

His academic journey includes a PhD funded by the European Union, followed by over five years as a postdoctoral researcher at UiT - The Arctic University of Norway (funded by the Research Council of Norway) and one year at the Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry of the Czech Academy of Sciences in Prague (funded by the European Union). Prof. Demissie has authored and co-authored over 75 research papers in prestigious journals. His expertise spans various areas, including relativistic NMR, EPR, and pNMR calculations; computational studies of reaction mechanisms; supramolecular chemistry; computational analyses of absorption, emission, Raman, Raman optical activity, vibrational circular dichroism, and magnetic circular dichroism; computational electrochemistry; CO2 activation and reduction to valuable organic compounds; and drug-protein molecular docking studies.

Beyond his scholarly pursuits, Prof. Demissie is deeply committed to fostering STEM awareness among high school students and promoting public awareness and understanding of scientific endeavors.

Bassoma Diallo graduated from the University of Bamako's college of science and technology with a B.Sc. in applied physics. He continued his education, earning his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in computer science from Wuhan University of Science and Technology in China in 2017,and Southwest Jiaotong University in China in 2023 respectively. He started a research adventure after earning his Ph.D. and gave his knowledge to the robotics and artificial intelligence center in Mali. Currently, he is a lecturer at University of Botswana. Furthermore, Dr. Bassoma is a renowned researcher who actively takes part in a number of international conferences and journals in the field of computer science.
