Bojosi Olebetse is a lecturer in the Department of tourism and Hospitality Management at the University of Botswana. Olebetse holds Master of Commerce in Tourism and Hospitality from the Midlands State University in Zimbabwe, a Bachelor of Commerce in Hospitality Management and Culinary Science from the University of Venda in South Africa . Diploma in Technical and Vocational Education from the University of Botswana. Her research interests are culinary tourism, Tourism Services marketing, Service quality in hospitality, Food service and Food safety. Olebetse teaches a range of courses in Hospitality Management. She also supervises undergraduate level research in the Department of Tourism and Hospitality.

Mr. Manyane Olebile has more than 5 years experience working on different entertainment projects and productions across Botswana and holds Bachelor of Fine Arts (Theatre Arts) from University of Botswana.

Mr. Olebile has worked in the following events and productions;

Generations in Harmony Concert 2012, President Concert, Maitisong Festival, President Day Awards Ceremony, UBFACE, Botswana 50 years Independence Celebrations 2016, Netball World Youth Cup Gaborone 2017, BNYC Awards, Miss UB Setso 2019, President's Day Competitions, Poverty Eradication Expo 2020.

He has been engaged as;

Stage Manager, Venue Manager, Theatre Administrator, Sound and Lighting Technician and engineering, Assistant Set Designer & Set Painter.

Mr. Olebile has also been involved with some Community Drama Groups/ Clubs, Professional Theatre Groups/ Companies like Batsumi Traditional Group, Moratiwa Productions, Ngami Artists and Music Bands like Majwe Royal Band based in Palapye assisting them with Administration, Sound engineering, lighting and stage set ups.

Manyane enjoys the process of organizing and producing events and productions, from initial planning, rehearsals, through to production meetings, set designs, meeting all technical needs and running the show.

Thato Katlego Oleteng is a lecturer in Chinese Studies programme, under the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Botswana. She currently teaches Mandarin Chinese language at Intermediate level (Third year students) and advanced level (Final year students). She is a young academic researcher who is interested in research that looks into Mandarin Chinese language teaching and learning, reading in Chinese as well as Chinese- English translation and Interpretation.

Ms Oleteng did her BA (Special Education) at the University of Botswana. After graduation, she joined the teaching community and worked as a teacher for four years. She then applied for an opportunity to further her studies in China. She studied Mandarin Chinese and upon her return worked as a translator and interpreter at various Chinese companies, then later joined the University of Botswana teaching Mandarin Chinese.

Matthews Ollyn is a lecturer in the Department of Industrial Design and Technology at  University of Botswana. He has over 10 years of teaching experience at University level; and believes that there has to be a connection between what is taught in class and what the industry is doing. Therefore whenever possible, in class projects have an industry client waiting on a solution. His areas of research interest include but not limited to the following: User-centred and strategic design, design sketching and sustainability.

Ombito O. J obtained his Ph.D (2018) in Organic Chemistry, with emphasis on Chemistry of Natural Products & Synthesis, from the University of Botswana. He is an associate member of the Royal Society of Chemistry and a Kenya Chemical Society member. He joined the faculty at the University of Botswana in 2020. His research focuses on the Chemistry of Natural Products, working mainly in areas related to Medicinal Plants, Secondary Metabolites, Chromatographic, Spectroscopic and Spectrometric techniques.

Dr. Goitse Ookeditse is a lecturer in the Department of Educational Foundations (EDF) at the University of Botswana. He holds a Bachelor of Education (Special Education) from the University of Botswana, with majors in mathematics and visual impairment. In addition, he holds a Master of Arts (Special Education) and a Doctor of Education (Special Education) from Ball State University in USA. His doctoral dissertation focused on teachers’ views about postsecondary planning and effective transition programs for students with disabilities in Botswana, with emphasis on those with visual impairments. His work as a lecturer offers him immense satisfaction and great pleasure. Freezing the volatile moments with his students specializing in visual impairment teaches him how to deal with tricky and challenging situations in life. His research interests include career development and transition planning and programming for students with disabilities as well as orientation and mobility programs for individuals with visual impairments. His research abilities include the use of software such as SPSS and R Commander to analyze data. He has publications in both local and international peer reviewed journals. He has served and continues to serve in various committees in the University of Botswana such as the University of Botswana Disability Review Committee (UBDRC), Student Welfare Departmental Appointments, Promotions, and Review Committee (DAPRC), and serves in different external entities.

I have a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery degree and postgraduate specialization in Psychiatry . I also have a certificate in Medicine and Law from the University of Pretoria/UNISA and a certificate in AIDS Clinical Care Fundamentals. I am currently Assistant Programme Director in the department and an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the Perelman School of Medicine, Penn, USA. I have worked in the mental health field in Botswana for over 20 years. I have a deep understanding of the mental health problems and care system in Botswana. My interests are in Stigma, HIV/ AIDS and Mental Health, transcultural Psychiatry and Substance use. As local PI, I led the first epidemiological study on HIV/AIDS among patients with mental illness, a study supported by the Intervention Core of the Penn Mental Health Aids Research Centre (PMHARC). I am currently the UB Principal Investigator for a pilot study on the stigma of HIV and mental illness in Botswana, entitled “Developing a culture specific measure of stigma of HIV and Mental illness in Gaborone, Botswana.” I also support the MME study: “RCT to reduce stigma and improve treatment adherence in HIV+ pregnant women in Botswana”, led by Culture, Stigma and co-morbidities expert Dr Lawrence Yang, in a Co-Investigator capacity.
