Ntsayagae qualified as nurse in 1986, and worked at Lobatse Mental Hospital, Bamalete Lutheran Hospital, Institute of Health Sciences, Ministry of Health, Botswana Medical AID and is currently employed at University of Botswana. She completed her masters in Psychiatric Nursing in 2000, and her PhD in 2018. Ntsayagae’s role includes supervision of research for master’s students. Current activities outside the university include being a member of various technical working groups, giving health talks on mental health and reviewer of manuscripts for International Journal of Africa Nursing Sciences.
Ntsayagae teaches different courses from under graduate through to graduate. She has taught Basic Nursing Concepts and skills in Health and Wellness, Professional Nursing, Community Mental Health Nursing, community Based Care Practicum, Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing, Trends in Psychotherapeutic Modalities, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Nursing, Psychiatric Mental Health Practicals and Internship.

Dolly Ntseane completed her MSW in Social Policy and Administration from Columbia University, New York (1985-1987) and in 1997 obtained PhD in Social Welfare Policy from Brandeis University. In 2019 she completed certificate training in Bio-Ethics at Johns Hopkins Forgarty Bioethics Training Program. Professor Ntseane is one of the founding members of the Department of Social Work. Prior to teaching at UB, she worked at the Department of Social and Community Development, Ministry of Local Government as a National Youth Coordinator and later a Senior Social Welfare Officer. Prof Ntseane has published numerous journal articles, book chapters, monographs and unpublished technical reports in the areas of Social Protection, HIV and AIDS, Gender Based Violence, Work and family etc. In the area of teaching, Prof Ntseane has taught undergraduate and graduate students at UB for a period of 30 years. She has been instrumental in developing courses as well as training students in the areas of social science research, social policy, social planning, monitoring and evaluation, youth development, school social work to mention a few. She has supervised research studies at undergraduate and graduate levels in various areas of national interest. Besides research and publications, Prof Ntseane is an active member of the UB Institutional Review Board (IRB). She also serves as Advisory member of the International School of Social Work and Southern Africa Network of Social Security Experts.

Senior Lecturer
Location: Block 247 Room 313I am a demographer and population scientist. My academic degrees are 1) Bachelor of Science in Biology (Major-Microbiology) from the University of Botswana, 2) Master of Arts in Population Studies from the University of Botswana, 3) Master of Arts in Demography from the University of Pennsylvania in the United States of America, and 4) Doctor of Philosophy (Demography & Social Statistics) from the University of Southampton in the United Kingdom.
I teach the following courses at the undergraduate level: POP 220, POP 222, POP 223, POP 300, and at the graduate level: POP 602 and POP 608. I also coordinate and facilitate in two short courses "An Introduction to Quantitative Methods for Monitoring and Evaluation" and ''Methods for Data Management with Software Application," which the Department of Population Studies offers in collaboration with Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health (USA).
My area of expertise is household demography and its implications for child and adult health. On a more general level, I am interested in how socio-demographic processes shape populations, and monitoring and evaluation of health programs and interventions.
I look forward to supervising graduate students who share the same research interests.
