I joined the University of Botswana in August 1990 immediately after graduating from my undergraduate as Staff Development Fellow. I went to University of Bristol to do MSc in the Department of Mathematics in Fluid Mechanics which I finished in 1993. I was appointed a Lecturer in Mathematics in 1994. I joined the University of Oslo as a Research Fellow in 1994. This fellowship ended in 1998 before I could finish my PhD. I resumed my PhD studies with University of Botswana from 2004 until 2008 when I graduated with PhD. I was promoted to Senior Lecturer 2008. In 2012 I went on a year long sabbatical part of it was spent at African Institute of Mathematical Sciences (AIMS) in Cape Town, South Africa. In 2014, I was granted 3 year Leave of Absence and I joined Botswana International University of Science and Technology (BIUST) in Palapye as Senior Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics and Statistical Sciences. I rejoined the Department of Mathematics UB back in 2015. I was appointed Head of Department in 2016 up to date.

Dr Elizabeth Pulane Motswapong is a Senior Lecturer in Indo Religions specialising in Hindu Studies, in the Department of Theology and Religious Studies, University of Botswana.
She introduces students to Indian Religions with a concentration in Hindu Studies. Dr. Motswapong joined the University of Botswana, Department of Theology and Religious Studies as an SDF (Staff Development Fellow) in 1998.
After teaching for a year Motswapong went to pursue her Masters of Arts in Oriental and African Religions at University of London during the academic year 1999- 2000. Her dissertation was a comparative study between Tswana Bogwera and Hindu Upanayana Initiation rites for boys as instrumental in understanding these religions despite their diversity. Her supervisor was Dr. Julia Leslie ( MHSRIP).
During the years 2004 -2007, Motswapong pursued her Ph.D and wrote a dissertation in Hinduism and Gender under the supervision of Guruji, Prof. Burkhard Scherer.
Motswapong work includes supervision of both undergraduate and postgraduate students in various aspects of religions.
Lastly, she examines dissertations for both undergraduate and post graduate (Masters and Ph.D) from universities across the globe.

Tebogo Motswetla hails from Serowe where he did his primary education. He went to Moeng College for his secondary education in 1984 -88. Following his completion of study at Moeng College he worked at the Department of Information and Broadcasting as a Graphic Designer. He then trained as an Art teacher at Molepolole College of Education and started his teaching profession in 1993 as an Art teacher in Mannathoko CJSS. In 1997 - 2000 he did his BA (Hon) Graphics; Illustrations. Upon his completion of study, he taught Art at Lotsane Senior Secondary School in 2001 where he was Head of Art Department. In 2003 he received a Meritorious Award in teaching. In 2004 he joined the University of Botswana (Distance Education Department) as a Desktop Publishing Officer. In 2008 – 09 he studied for Masters Degree in 2Dimensional and Digital Design in Australia.
Motswetla has a long history in the area of cartoons. He started a “Mabijo” Cartoon strip in 1989 which was published in Botswana Daily News and Kutlwano magazine. He has published 3 comic booklets and participated in a number of Art exhibitions in Botswana and in 2014 he mounted a cartoon exhibition in Michigan State University, USA. He received a Media Award (Editorial Cartooning) in 2014 in recognition for his valuable contributions in educating Batswana on HIV/AIDS issues.

Dr T. V. Moumakwa is a Senior lecturer in the Department of Languages and Social Sciences Education. She is a language educator and offers methodology courses to pre-service and in-service language students as well as a research methods course to in-service teachers. She supervises research projects of undergraduate as well as post graduate students. Before joining the University, she offered English language and literature at both junior and senior secondary school level in different public schools in Botswana. Dr T. V. Moumakwa also serves in both the English language and literature panels of the Curriculum Department (MOBE).

Moumakwa's research interests are in the areas of language and literature education as well as language-in-education policy, teacher training and development, and qualitative research methods.
