An urban environmental planner and human geographer, with interest in urban environmental planning and management issues such as urban water resource management; urban impacts on natural habitats and ecosystems; urban waste management and pollution control; urban disaster risk management; urban agriculture and food security; sustainable urban livelihoods; urban governance; globalization and urbanization. Other interests are in environmental assessment, environmental policy, environmentalism and the implementation of multilateral environmental agreements..
