LECTURER IN RADIATION AND HEALTH PHYSICS (Contract Position) Re-advertisement

DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICS

VACANCY NO: IRC 1220

Duties: The successful candidate will be expected to: (i) teach post-graduate and undergraduate level courses in Radiation and Health Physics; (ii) supervise post graduate and undergraduate student’s projects as need may arise; (iii) participate in the academic, governance and social engagement in Radiation Physics or related field; (iv) and perform any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Head of Department.

Requirements: Applicants should have: (i) a Doctorate in Radiation Physics or related field; (ii) a Master’s degree in Radiation Physics or related field; (iii) a Bachelor’s Degree in Radiation Physics or related field; (iv) evidence of engagement in research. Evidence of governance and social engagement in any of the above or related field, as well as teaching at the University or comparable institution will be added advantages.  

NB: In special circumstances, a Master’s degree in Radiation Physics or related field with a relevant Bachelor’s degree of at least a 2.1 pass//GPA of at least 3.6 or equivalent may be considered in special circumstances.
