Brief Biography

Patience Erick is an Occupational Health and Safety Lecturer with more than 10 years of teaching experience in UB. Dr Erick is currently substantive Head of the Department of Environmental Health and Acting Head of School of Public Health in the Faculty of Health Sciences. Patience serves in a number of committees in UB and outside UB and is a member of a number of professional bodies/associations.  She possess excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills and the ability to develop and maintain mutually beneficial internal and external relationships and recently collaborated with colleagues from different faculties and submitted an EDCTP Grant Application as a Co-Principal Investigator. She enjoys being part of, as well as leading, motivating and training, a successful and productive team, and also thrives in a challenging working environments.
