Brief Biography

Currently a PhD Candidate at the University of Pécs in the International PhD (Business Administration) program, Thuso Mphela is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Botswana. His PhD research investigates the relationship between Clinical Governance and Procurement of medicine supplies and health outcomes. Before moving to Hungary on full-time studies, Thuso was a coordinator of the Global Consultancy Program (GCP), an international student consulting project and served as a Business Coach in the Global Business Labs. He has led a team of more than ten researchers in the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) Botswana chapter. He is currently a member of a multi-nation research team engaged in life-skills, entrepreneurship and sports research project targeting youth, under the auspices of Alliance for African Partnership (Michigan State University). Notable consultancy projects include an evaluation of empowerment policy framework of Botswana, done under the supervision of BIDPA. Thuso is also a founding member of the The European American Migration Platform (TEAMHP). He is self-driven individual, always striving for excellence. He is passionate about community empowerment and sustainability issues. He believes in the meeting of minds and appreciates talent and admires achievers. Above all, he is a passionate academic.
