Senior Librarian in Resource Management.

• Contribute to the development of library strategy and policies
• Develop operational procedures to ensure consistent delivery of services
•  Sets and monitors performance objectives and targets for the Unit (using the performance appraisal system)
• Manage budgets, staff and resources with the aim of achieving financial and quality service targets and report to the library management on current budget performance and prepare financial estimates
• Provides leadership and expertise in all aspects of acquisition and cataloguing
• Designs, develops, and implements induction and on-the job training programmes for the Unit, leads and mentors
• Develop, manage and coordinate the implementation and evaluation of long terms and short term plan in the Unit

Liaison with Internal and External Stakeholders

• Establish strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate timely supply of library materials
• Participates in the tendering process for vendor selection and contract agreement negotiations

• Maintains direct contact with suppliers relating to payments of accounts

Collection Development & Management

• Manages the online bibliographic database and maintains authority files in accordance with international cataloguing and classification rules and practices to ensure database integrity to increase accessibility of resources to customers
• Oversees meta data management
