The number of the Chinese living in Botswana has increased. As  of 2009 Chinese formed the largest group of self-employment holders in Botswana. It is therefore the responsibility of the University of Botswana to bridge the cultural and language gap In Botswana. The Chinese Studies Programme is a window through which we hope our students will learn and explore issues around China.
