Rationale
- Data analysis is key to revealing hidden patterns, understanding research data and facilitating data-driven policy decisions.
- Different statistical packages exist, but Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) package is windows driven, user friendly and subscribed to by many universities, institutes and government agencies.
Purpose
- To help assistants, researchers and students learn or sharpen some basic statistical and analytical skills that can be used for data analysis using SPSS.
- To enable learners to produce good data sets ready for sharing and analysis
- To enable learners to apply and interpret common inferential statistical tests and their assumptions
