Disciplinary Hearings
Rationale
This is a structured 2 day short course aimed at practitioners wishing to gain practical grounding on conducting procedurally and substantively fair disciplinary hearings. Improperly conducted disciplinary procedures are costly and stressful for both the employer and the employee. Consequently, disciplinary procedures need to be fully compliant with employment law.
Purpose
The training will focus on practical aspects of conducting disciplinary procedures. It will place disciplinary procedures in perspective by briefly discussing aspects of employment law and the procedural requirements of conducting disciplinary hearings. The main focus will be on the structure of the disciplinary process, investigations, acceptable evidence, problematic areas and best practices on conducting disciplinary procedures..

- How to facilitate a disciplinary hearing process,
