The San Research Centre is a multidisciplinary research centre aimed at informing stakeholders about San culture, socio-economic and political issues. The Centre initiates and facilitates research projects and synergies. We are an umbrella for current and new initiatives on San issues with the following objectives:
- To pursue innovative strategies for promoting San access to higher education and capacity building;
- To develop local scientific knowledge and expertise on the San;
- To inform Government policy on San development through research.
- To facilitate San self-representation and choices in development.
Our main activities include research affiliation and collaborations, seminars, workshops and short term courses on San Studies. We support educators by developing appropriate teaching materials focusing on San and other minorities’ issues.
