The accommodation list includes only students who applied for accommodation for the 2026/2027 academic year and who fall within the approved priority categories. These include international students, students living with disabilities, recognised student leadership groups, and some Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) students.

Due to the limited number of bed spaces, not all applicants could be accommodated. Unsuccessful applicants are encouraged to seek accommodation in and around Gaborone.

A waiting list will be used to fill any vacancies that arise. It includes unsuccessful applicants and those whose welfare documents are still under review. The waiting list will be published on 18 June 2026. Please note that being on the waiting list does not guarantee accommodation.

Students offered accommodation must occupy their rooms within ten (10) calendar days from 22 July 2026 by signing the hostel occupation register. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of the allocated bed space.

Accommodation appeals for OVC, psychological and medical conditions affecting mobility will only be considered if they were declared during the application period and supported by the relevant professionals.

Appeals and enquiries may be sent to studenthousing@ub.ac.bw between 18 June 2026 and 10 July 2026. No appeals will be accepted after the closing date.

Only students who applied for accommodation and submitted the required supporting documents within the application period will be considered for any future vacancies, except in genuine emergency cases that arose after the application deadline.
