University of Venda delegation Visits UB to Explore for Collaboration Opportunities

UNiveA delegation from the University of Venda is on a visit to the University of Botswana. The team is led by Vice Chancellor and Principal, Dr Bernard Nthambeleni and the purpose of the visit is to explore for possibilities of mutual collaboration between the two institutions.

During a meet and greet session with the University of Botswana management and other stakeholders on May 8, 2023, Dr Nthambeleni presented on the topic: Reducing Organizational Complexities: A case of Univen Strategic Plan 2025. The presentation comes at an opportune time when UB is also undergoing transformation to become a High-Performance Organisation.

The Univen delegation was taken on a tour of UB facilities such as the UB Indoor Sports Centre, the Olympic size swimming pool, the library and the recently launched Innovation centre. The visitors will continue to explore other areas of interest and faculties over the duration of their stay.

Dr Bernard Nthambeleni is expected to hold a special public lecture on May 10, 2023 at the University of Botswana Conference Centre from 5pm under the topic: Knowledge in Service of the Society: The Role of Universities in Developing Modern Societies.
