University of Botswana and Eaton Business School Poised to Sign MoU on Business Programmes Offerings

eATONThe University of Botswana (UB) and Eaton Business School (EBS) in the United Kingdom are poised to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) through which the two institutions establish collaborative ties, specifically to enhance and expand their professional business programmes offerings.

This emerged during a meeting where Vice Chancellor, Professor David Norris, met with officials from the EBS Management in Dubai this week. Professor Norris is currently in Dubai attending the United Nations Climate Change Conference 28 (COP28).

Not only is the Vice Chancellor attending the climate meeting but also meeting several potential collaborators who can forge partnerships to advance the University’s business portfolio. Among those he met, were officials from Eaton Business School Management primarily to establish collaborative ties, specifically to enhance and expand the University of Botswana’s professional business programmes offerings.

These include, among others, Doctor of Business Administration and Executive Master of Business Administration (MBA). Discussions centred on models of how these could be jointly delivered, quality assured and certificated.

The agreement would be such that the University of Botswana will be responsible for running the programme which include delivery of modules, supervisor of research, among others. EBS will be responsible for quality assurance whereby the programme delivery will be overseen by EBS quality team.

The two parties have agreed to meet again (virtually) on the 18th of December 2023 and the Vice Chancellor will be accompanied by the Faculty of Business officials to agree on modalities for the MoU signing. The two parties were desirous of implementing the agreement as early as January 2024.
