UB Hawks Kick Off 2024 with Thrilling Draw Against Tlokweng United
University of Botswana (UB) Hawks Football Club kicked off the new year with a one all draw (1-1) against rivals Tlokweng United in First Division South League match played on the 27th January 2024 at Tlokweng VDC Grounds. UB Hawks came from behind to equalise through Mmoloki Kgaswane on the 30th minute.
Tlokweng United striker Kgosietsile Kufigwa had put Tlokweng United in the lead 15 minutes into the match after a well-orchestrated counterattack. Despite failing to capitalise on chances created, UB Hawks dominated the entire match with ball possession and shorts on target. UB Hawks created more chances that could have assisted them to win the game, unfortunately missed a penalty after Mmoloki Kgaswane shot wide in the second half.
The UB Hawks displayed outstanding performance throughout the game mounting endless challenges for rivals as they continued to press hard. The only challenge Hawks faced was poor finishing.
