UB Council Chairman Tours Campus Facilities to Assess Infrastructure and Student Experience

TauThe newly appointed Chairman of the University of Botswana (UB) Council, Dr Daniel Tau, on the 11th of June 2025 undertook a tour of the University’s facilities aimed at assessing how the infrastructure was being utilised besides identifying areas in need of maintenance or improvement. The aim was to further explore ways to enhance the overall student experience.

Dr Tau visited a range of key facilities across campus including the Sports, Culture and Recreation amenities such as the UB Stadium and Indoor Sports Centre, student housing and laundry services, water treatment plant, Student Centre and 1MW Solar PV site. His tour also covered several academic and residential blocks, namely the Old Hostels (Blocks 410, 426, 444, 451), the Faculty of Health Sciences (Block 426), the Faculty of Social Sciences (Block 240), the Faculty of Business (Block 245), and the UNIPod (Block 205).
