UB Continues to Position Itself in Seychelles

This week the Vice Chancellor, Professor David Norris, joined UB staff who had been in Seychelles for the Agency for National Human Resource Development (ANHRD) Public Awareness Session.

Professor Norris and his delegation then paid Syechelles’ Minister of Education and Human Resource Development, Ms Jeanne Simeon, a courtesy call.

UB was among 35 other exhibitors that participated in the 5th Edition of the ANHRD Public Awareness Session in the Seychelles Island of Mahe in the City of Victoria.

Participation by the University of Botswana in the Seychelles' Public Awareness Education Fair 2020 in the Mahe Island’s City is part of its efforts to position itself as the University of Choice in southern Africa.

This was the second time the University of Botswana participated in the fair following a successful campaign in 2019 which brought together 15 institutions of higher learning from across the world including Malaysia, Mauritius and Botswana to showcase their products and services.

Out of the 35 exhibitors that participated this year eight were from Seychelles while 27 were from abroad from countries such Botswana, Malaysia, Canada, & South Africa. United States, Mauritius, Japan and France embassies and consulates also participated.
