UB Congratulates Marketing Department Advisory Board Chair for OACPS Appointment
University of Botswana congratulates Chairperson of the Advisory Board of the UB Department of Marketing, Ms Mmantlha Sankoloba, on her election to the Presidency of the Board of the Organisation of African, Caribbean and Pacific states (OACPS) Business Forum.
Ms Sankoloba is also the Chief Executive Officer of the Botswana Exporters and Manufacturers Association (BEMA).
OACPS is based in Brussels, Belgium and consists of 48 countries from Sub-Saharan Africa, 16 from the Caribbean and 15 from the Pacific. The appointment of Ms Sankoloba marks an important step for Botswana’s presence in a global alliance embracing the African Diaspora to bring markets, capital cities, cultures and co-operation policies with specifically African interest, into alignment.
In addition to her official duties as BEMA CEO, Ms Sankoloba was in 2018 appointed as the Chairperson of UB’s Advisory Board for the Department of Marketing. As the chairperson, she focuses on investment and industry stakeholder relations and gives strategic direction to the Board.
