Standard Chartered, Debswana award students

The Careers and Counselling Centre recently hosted an award ceremony for six students who received Standard Chartered Awards for best achievement during the 2016/2017 and 2017/2018 academic years respectively. The De Beers Group of Companies also present the Valedictorian Award.

The 2017/18 recipients were Daniel Thato Machoro who was awarded Best Student in Finance (Bachelor of Finance), Gorata Matome from Humanities who got the Best Student Living with Disability award while Thato Ramokate (Bachelor of Finance) walked away with the Best Peer Counsellor Award.

For the 2016/17 group, Dineo Keduetswe was awarded Best Student in Finance, Oscar Mokhutswa (Special Education) got Best Student Living with Disability, while Wame Baitshokedi (Social Sciences) was awarded Best Peer Counsellor. The recipients each got P5000 courtesy of Standard Chartered Bank.

Meanwhile, the star of the day was the 2018 Valedictorian, Jocelyne Mary-Jane Dogley from Seychelles who received P20 000 from Debswana Group of Companies (Bachelor of Humanities). She graduated with a CGPA of 4.9.
