Mechanical Engineering Student Association (MESA) elects inaugural Executive Officers
University of Botswana Mechanical Engineering Student Association (MESA) has elected and inaugurated its inaugural executive committee for the 2026/2027 academic year. The results were officially announced by the Chairperson and Secretary of the Electoral Committee, Mr Henry Boloka and Ms Wame Moroba, respectively.
The elected officers are President, Eric Percy Monageng; Vice President, Atang Gabriel Motsumi; Secretary, Tsamma Alicia Tshume; Treasurer General, Ariana Thula; Public Relations Officer, Omphile Setso Selebogo and Events Coordinator, Lince Bogosi Letshwenyo.
In his acceptance speech, the newly elected President, Mr Monageng, pledged his commitment to the association's growth and student representation. He enjoined all MESA members to work towards the growth of the association.
For his part, Staff Advisor, Professor Kevin Nwaigwe, tasked the executive committee members to be dedicated in their responsibilities and mobilise all students to be active members of the association. He reminded them of the huge task ahead and wished them well.
MESA is an association of mechanical engineering students in the Department of Mechanical and Energy Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment.
