Hawks Under Pressure to Improve Log Standings after Draw with Mochudi Centre Chiefs

HawksUniversity of Botswana (UB) Hawks are under pressure to improve their log-standing after a goalless draw against Mochudi Centre Chiefs in a First Division South League game played at UB Stadium on the 24th of October 2023.

Ever since commencement of the league, the Hawks have so far played three (3) games out of which they lost one when they fell 2-0 at the hands of Extension Gunners the previous week while securing two draws, one-all against Notwane F.C and nil-nil against Mochudi Centre Chiefs. Currently, Hawks are in the lower bracket of the log at position 11 followed by Desert Nxau at position 12.

In the next feature, Hawks will face Prisons XI at Mmopane and are under pressure to win three points to move to position five (5) on the log. Speaking during in a post-match interview, Hawks Coach, Basimanebotlhe Alex Malete, said the game against Mochudi Centre Chiefs was tough because the team had a challenge of sticking to the game plan.

“They made us uncomfortable, resulting in the team working under immense pressure,” said Malete.
