UB and BDF have a long-standing collaboration in sports development. The two have collaborated on the development of physical proficiency tests and standards, short courses, testing and research as well as training programmes.

Consequently, Head of the Department of Sports Science at UB, Dr Comfort Mokgothu, in his briefing to the BDF delegation talked about facilities at the UB HPC in that they accorded athletes the most conducive environment for training and fitness testing. Dr Mokgothu added that the UB HPC provided for coaching, mental skills training and other related resources for holistic athlete development.
