We are the only Department in Africa offering a range of programmes, research and consultancy in the diverse field of Design. We offer a two B Des programmes, one in Industrial Design and the other in D&T Education. We also offer two M Phil programmes, one in Design and the other in Technology in addition to research leading to PhD. Our research and consultancy interests include product design, design cognition, art and design, user design, environmental design, creative design, service and safety design as well as solar, thermal and mechanical design of equipment. It is mandated to get the programmes accredited by the Institution of Engineering Designers, (IED) UK.
