Mr. Christian John Mbekomize

Certified Public Accountant, National Board of Accountants and Auditors, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

Mr Mbekomize is a  Senior Lecturer in the Department of Accounting and Finance at the University of Botswana and a fellow member of the Botswana Institute of Chartered Accountants. He holds a Master of Arts degree in Financial Control from Dublin City University and has a vast experience in lecturing in Auditing and other accounting related subjects for 30 years at the University of Botswana, the Botswana Institute of Administration and Commerce and University of Dar es Salaam. Mr Mbekomize started his teaching carrier in 1987 at the University of Dar e s Salaam where he worked for 6 years. Before rejoining the teaching career in 1996 he served as a Deputy Treasurer of the Central District Council and Jwaneng Town Council for 3 years. Mr Mbekomize has served in several committees within and outside the University. He has served in the Membership and Examination Committee and Public Sector Committee of the Botswana Institute of Chartered Accountants. For the past 8 years he chaired the organizing committee of the workshop entitled: Financial Management Development Course for Senior Government Financial Managers for the East and Southern African Association of Accountants General. He also was a member of the Senior Secondary Business Subjects Task force. He has also served as external examiner at ABM University College and the Botswana Accountancy College.
