Dr Tshiamiso Violet Moumakwa holds a DSE and BA (Humanities) from the University of Botswana,  MA in English Language Teaching from the University of Warwick (UK) and PhD in Linguistic Science from University of Reading (UK) 

Dr T. V. Moumakwa is a Senior lecturer in the Department of Languages and Social Sciences Education. She is a language educator and offers methodology courses to pre-service and in-service language students as well as a research methods course to in-service teachers. She supervises research projects of undergraduate as well as post graduate students. Before joining the University, she offered English language and literature at both junior and senior secondary school level in different public schools in Botswana. Dr T. V. Moumakwa also serves in both the English language and literature panels of the Curriculum Department (MOBE).

Dr. T. V. Moumakwa's research interests are in the areas of language and literature education as well as language-in-education policy, teacher training and development, and qualitative research methods. Her publications include language instruction, integrating 21st century skills in language teaching, reading challenges encountered by language students at secondary school level.
