Tebogo Motswetla hails from Serowe where he did his primary education. He went to Moeng College for his secondary education in 1984 -88. Following his completion of study at Moeng College he worked at the Department of Information and Broadcasting as a Graphic Designer. He then trained as an Art teacher at Molepolole College of Education and started his teaching profession in 1993 as an Art teacher in Mannathoko CJSS. In 1997 - 2000 he did his BA (Hon) Graphics; Illustrations. Upon his completion of study, he taught Art at Lotsane Senior Secondary School in 2001 where he was Head of Art Department. In 2003 he received a Meritorious Award in teaching. In 2004 he joined the University of Botswana (Distance Education Department) as a Desktop Publishing Officer. In 2008 – 09 he studied for Masters Degree in 2Dimensional and Digital Design in Australia.

Motswetla has a long history in the area of cartoons. He started a “Mabijo” Cartoon strip in 1989 which was published in Botswana Daily News and Kutlwano magazine. He has published 3 comic booklets and participated in a number of Art exhibitions in Botswana and in 2014 he mounted a cartoon exhibition in Michigan State University, USA. He received a Media Award (Editorial Cartooning) in 2014 in recognition for his valuable contributions in educating Batswana on HIV/AIDS issues.
