Peter Mazebe II Mothataesi Sebina completed his PhD 2006 at the University College London on ‘Freedom of Information and Records Management: a learning curve for Botswana’, a Master of Archives and Records Management with a dissertation on 'Managing Government Registries: A new challenge for the National Archives.' Peter has taught, resourced training workshops and seminars, researched and consulted in the area of archives and records management, legal aspects of information in both the private and public sectors in Botswana, South Africa, Namibia and Zambia. He is a member of several local and international professional bodies; sits on numerous editorial boards, is a peer reviewer for renown journals and other publications. He supervises research and examines in the same areas listed above

Peter Mazebe II Mothataesi Sebina, a senior lecturer in archives and records management , is currently Deputy Dean in the Faculty of Humanities. His research interests are in records and information management in governance more especially in access to information and other facets of legal aspects of information management, infonomics, information integrity, legal rights and duties of information including duty to document, duty to preserve evidence, duty of confidentiality, duty to care, etc.

Peter Mazebe II Mothataesi Sebina supervises in the various areas of archives and records management inclusive of legal and ethical aspects of records and information management, e-records readiness, management of case records at the Land Tribunal, management of customary court records, analysis of competencies and skills for effective records management service provision, records management in corporate governance, information privacy etc.
