Prof. ANderson Chebanne was educated in France at the University of Grenoble III (later Université Stendhal) where he obtained his Doctorate in language sciences in 1992. He then lectured in Modern European Languages’ linguistics (French) and African (Setswana) languages at the University of Botswana. He was awarded numerous fellowships to research in France, Japan and South Africa. He has published numeral research in books, book chapters and articles and read many papers at international conferences on African languages linguistics and sociolinguistics. He has also supervised doctoral and masters theses. He is a member of national, regional and international linguistic organisations. He is one of the Khoesan languages experts in the region.
