BEng (Electrical) Ryerson University, Toronto, Canada
Dr. Jeffrey teaches in the areas of control systems engineering, electronics, instrumentation and measurement systems. She conducts research, supervises graduate students and has publications in the areas of biomedical process modelling and control, image processing, internet of things, renewable energy (solar and biogas), smart irrigation systems and engineering education. Dr Jeffrey has served the University in various areas such as Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering.
In addition, Dr. Jeffrey is the Founder and Chair of the Forum for Women Engineers and Girl Scientists in Africa (Forum WEGSA) and is also serving as Governing Council Member of the African Network for Scientific and Technological Institutions - ANSTI. She has worked with UNESCO on various projects across Africa through Forum WEGSA, ANSTI and related STEM organizations.
Prior to joining the University of Botswana, Dr. Jeffrey worked as Programmable Logic Controller Specialist at Union Electric in Toronto, Canada; as Programmer/Analyst at Shiu and Associates in Brampton, Canada and has trained at Botswana Power Corporation. She has maintained and nurtured strong links with the engineering industry through professional service, research, facilitating industry visits for secondary school students, as well as forging collaborations aimed at bridging the gap between academia and industry.
