Mr Kelebaone Tsamaase is an Electrical Engineer majoring in power systems and electric machines. He is a lecturer in the Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Technology at the University of Botswana. Prior to his current appointment, he progressed from Assistant Engineer to Principal Engineer working for a National Standards Body (Botswana Bureau Standards). He earned a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical and Electronic) from University of Botswana; A Master of Science degree in Power Distribution Engineering from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne in Newcastle, United Kingdom. He has, for the past 17 years, been involved in the writing of national standards of various electrotechnical fields in Botswana; and for 10 years auditing companies which implemented ISO 9000 QMS, and a Product Inspector of companies with products certified as per relevant Botswana Standards. Since joining the University, Mr Tsamaase has been teaching electrical machines and process instrumentation. He is engaged in research and publishing in local and international journals, mainly in the area of electrotechnical engineering. He has also presented papers at national and international conferences. Mr Tsamaase's main areas of research engagement are in solar photovoltaic energy systems.
